Let’s delve into the newest social media updates this month!

The time has come! Instagram has recently welcomed an effective tool that allows users to schedule their upcoming posts within the app. This new feature gives Instagrammers the opportunity to set specific publication dates for their posts with ease. This feature can be extremely convenient for users with busy schedules, saving time and adding value to their social media presence. Instagram has a section dedicated to creating and managing scheduled posts and reels; with helpful posting schedule suggestions in accordance with your location and audience. The only down-side to this new tool is the restriction to cross-posting to various Instagram accounts and social channels.

TikTok’s immense success has sparked new trends, shaped online culture and encouraged users to produce content that brings joy to the global community! The video-sharing app has introduced more ways for creators to monetize their content authentically. TikTok’s mission to reward more creators on their hard work and innovation comes hand and hand with their latest range of in-app monetization features. This new initiative includes ‘Effect Creator Rewards’ and ‘Creativity Program Beta’. These programs will allow creators to grow their careers, gain global exposure and maintain their authentic artistry within the app.

Snapchat has released a new AI feature for Snapchat+ subscribers. Snapchat’s decision to enhance the capabilities of the current AI chatbot has led to additional available features for paid subscribers. These Snapchat+ users can now send images to the in-app AI chatbot and receive a generative image back instantly. For example, if a Snapchat+ user sent an image of their grocery list for that day, the AI chatbot will respond with recipe ideas. This feature boosts interactive conversation.

Twitter has announced 25k Character Tweets for Twitter Blue Subscribers. This upgrade has expanded the app’s functionality by allowing users to write tweets  with a greater capability of freedom. This new 25k character limit also includes the upload of inline images amongst the text. This addition is a great way for Twitter Blue Subscribers to engage with the app differently and push for a behavioural shift in relation to how users respond to long-form content.

YouTube has introduced more Shorts Promotion Opportunities for creators across the globe. In their push to increase exposure to new subscribers, YouTube has created Short Friends in hopes to build a stronger creator community to facilitate learning and sharing. Individuals can fill out a simple form to apply to the YouTube Shorts Creator Community. If accepted, creators can access exclusive workshops and attain support from community partner managers.
